If you are a wedding or event professional living and working in the Charlottesville (Central Virginia) area we’re so glad you’ve found us. The CCWEP, founded in 2010, offers the many talented wedding & event professionals in the area an opportunity to get to know each other and to learn new skills that will support your success. Most of our members are either solo-entrepreneurs or part of small creative businesses. Our community offers a huge, friendly network of colleagues and resources right here in the Charlottesville area.
CCWEP events (social and educational) are a great way to get to know other industry professionals, to share information about your services, form collaborative relationships and become a part of this community that is always growing and changing. Lisa Skillman Watson
Lisa grew up on a small farm in central New Jersey, surrounded by horse country. Shortly after high school, she moved to Virginia to attend Mary Baldwin College where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, following which she relocated to Charlottesville where she has called home for the past 18+ years...

With community building in mind, we create an engaging and supportive environment for all members to share.
Tea Party | Hollymead House
Join us on Tuesday, June 10th from 12:00–2:00 PM for a delightful afternoon at the charming and historic Hollymead House.
Enjoy beautifully curated teas and tea-time treats provided by Sarah of Pétale LC, a full-service event planner and caterer specializing in the art and elegance of Afternoon Tea. Pétale creates stunning vintage-inspired tea experiences—and we’re thrilled to be hosting one for you!

Starting in January 2017 we added “CCWEP CONNECTS” to the many benefits of membership… these are informal happy hour get-togethers (Members-only) held on weekday evenings several times a year.

Each year, in addition to our unmatched industry-specific networking opportunities, the CCWEP offers educational programs geared to help you streamline and grow your wedding & event business. These morning programs are offered at various locations around Charlottesville.
