Speaker: Brittny Drye of Love, Inc. ~ Brittny Drye is the founder and editor-in-chief of Love Inc., the leading equality-minded wedding blog and print publication. Her inclusive efforts have been celebrated by the New York Times, Forbes, The Advocate, OUT Magazine, Refinery29, NY Daily News, Cosmopolitan, and more. She is a founding editor of the Aisle Society and a member of the 2018-19 North American Advisory Board for the International Academy of Wedding & Events.
First, “Steps to Becoming an Equality-Minded® Wedding Business“: In this session, Brittny Drye will guide you step-by-step through understanding the LGBTQ+ demographic, from a breakdown of the LGBTQIAP spectrum, heteronormative language that is regularly used in the wedding space (and gender-neutral terms to use instead!) and diving deeper into tokenism and genuine marketing, while giving you direct actions to take in order make your wedding business more inclusive.
